Robert Logan, ‘77 Sunset Strip’ and ‘Wilderness Family’ actor, dead at 82

Logan died just three weeks shy of his 83rd birthday.

The late star was born in Brooklyn on May 29, 1941.

Logan’s family, which included his seven siblings, moved to Los Angeles. He got a scholarship to play baseball at the University of Arizona, Tucson, where he was scouted by a Warner Bros. talent agent, according to his obituary.

His first acting role was in “77 Sunset Strip.”

Logan played parking attendant J.R. Hale, who replaced Edward Byrnes’ Kooki as the valet parking attendant. He was on the show for two seasons from 1961 to 1963.
