I think there’s something special about late-night snacks. Hear me out: Any snack that you eat during the day is (to me) just…another snack. Elevenses, happy hour, whatever—you can always improve your daily average gustatory experience after those. But your late-night snack is ostensibly the last thing you’re going to eat before you go to sleep—your day’s culinary closing argument. You can’t pick just anything. A great late-night snack should be deeply satisfying and definitely couch-friendly. (Unless, of course, you have a tray so you can take a snack to bed.)
